Located near the end of a
cul-de-sac in the Bayridge
area of West Vancouver, the
home of Tom and Dale
Christy embodies just about
everything you could want in
a home. Situated on one and
one-third acres, the open
beam ranch style house was
built about 15 years ago by
Lewis Construction.

Three years ago, the
Christy's
completely renovated it. The
2,400 sq.ft. home is in the

The renovations which
Tom and Dale have done are
too long to list here but some
of the more interesting ones
are the addition of a brick
wall in the kitchen which
contains an elevated
fireplace and two built-in
ovens. The cabinets were re-
done in solid oak and the
floor in quarry tile. The
room could be described as a
“country kitchen” and boasts
a large walk-in pantry as well
as a Jenn-Aire range and the
usual assortment of ap-
pliances.

installation of a large
elevated patio and swimming
pool with hot tub built on
concrete columns. At the!
northern end of the propery,
it took 200 truck loads of
earth to build a level play
area since the house is built
on the edge of a steep
ravine.

In the children’s wing,
there used to be three
bedrooms. Since the
Christy’s have two boys, they
turned the middle bedroom
into an ensuite bathroom for

them, ..

particularly enjoys the
summer when outdoor living
is the lifestyle around the
pool and barbeque. . .

THIS SUMMER a large
elevated patio and pool
were added, surrounded
by a glass fence to keep
the westerly view.
Above, Tom and Dale
added the brick wall to
the kitchen with its twin
built-in ovens.
