It's also the time of year when the shelters fill up with unwanted animals,
when advocacy groups struggle against the odds to cope with all those
arial babies. If you have any doubts that there are too many kittens and
punpies being bom, check out your focal shelter. Many peopie feel that
when they give their animal babies to a shelter, they will oe adopted and
in truth many are. However, for every kitten and puppy adopted in a
shelter, there is one less home for another unwanted dog or cat. While it
is true that .the shelters here Gn the North Shore try never to put animals
down needlessly, this does not hold true for many other communities. In
fact, other communities often send their unwanted pets here
