CITY AND DISTRICT OF NORTH VANCOUVER

Due to the declining levels of water in the Greater Vancouver
Water District's storage reservoirs, until further notice, there is
hereby imposed a complete ban on lawn and garden
sprinkling and hosing down of sidewalks, driveways, and
roadways, except that watering of gardens and plants by hand
using containers or a hand held hose equipped with a spring
loaded shutoff device is permitted.

Bylaw enforcement officers in each municipality have been
directed to enforce this ban. This ban will remain in effect until
there has been sufficient rainfall to replenish storage levels. A
notice lifting the ban will be publicized at that time.

With everyone's cooperation at this time the need for further,
more drastic restrictions in the future will hopefully be avoided.
