Canadians sharpen Blades to win title AFTER Josing their first game in the North Shore Senior Hockey League Divi- sion ‘A’ championship, Canadians stormed back to take the Dec. 14 weekend Christmas tournament with three straight wins. After a scoreless first period in their second game, the Canadians launched into Offensive overdrive on the way to a 8-0 whitewashing of the ailing Old Buzzards. The Canadians then turned around and avenged their earlier 3-2 loss to the Past Primers with a 5-1 pummel- ing. Inthe series final, the Ca- nadians faced down defen- ding champion Rusty Blades, defeated the hapless Old Buzzards 3-2 and the way Past Primers 5-2. Backed by the strong goaltending of Terry Abrahams, Canadians built up a 3-1 first period lead and went On to a 7-2 blow-out. WALLEYBALL is coming to town.
