She says her first choice was India, but since she is already familiar with East Indian culture, she is happy with Indonesia. Canada World Youth was founded 13 years ago by a group of citizens interested in the role of youth in con. temporary society The Organization arranges ex change programs with 26 Third World countmes, to date involving over 6,000 young peopie. ‘“‘The organization was formed primarily to increase intercultural understanding and awareness,’ said Janet Laidlaw, administrative assistant for Canada World Youth, adding that its main function now is education.
