Heroism award
recognizes truckers

SOMEWHERE IN Canada
there is a truck driver who
deserves special recognition.
The search is on for the
trucker who will be named
the 37th Firestone National
Truck Hero.

Nominations are sought for a
Canadian professional truck driver
who has performed an act of
bravery or heroism. The person or
organization that nominates the
winner will receive a $200 cash
reward,

This award is endorsed by the
.Canada Safety Council, The Traf-
fic Injury Research Foundation
and Bridgestone/Firestone Canada
Inc.

helps te heighten awareness of the
contributions truckers make
toward safety on our highways,
and ultimately promotes safety

The 1992 Firestone National
Truck Hero will receive a $1,000
cash prize, a VIP all-expense-paid
weekend for two at a fuxury
‘Tvronto hotel including first-class

Bridgestone/Firestone, as well as
an .inscribed: Rolex wrist watch,
compliments of the Rolex Watch
Co.

The truck hero will receive these
awards at the Ontario Trucking
Association convention being held
in Toronta, Nov. 25-27, 1992.

Council, The Traffic Injury
Research Foundation, the trucking
industry and Bridgestone/
Firestone.

supporting newspaper clippings,
witness statements or other evi-
