mixture of patched together styles.

Its walls are now decorated

with large black and white photos

‘of film and music stars. Original
early ‘60s cafe furnishings have
been joined by such dubious mod-
em efter-thoughts as Ripp's combi-
nation solarium-plastic fern bar
that showcases window-side diners
to Lonsdale foot traific.

But in the evening Ripp's
‘adopts a whole new multicultural
persona.

stuffed with shrimp and jalapeno
peppers, $6.95), Continental
(Quiche $7.95; Chicken and

and exotic, has yet to catch fire
with the restaurant's long-standing
