Drop back in the water if necessary
— you'll need about 16 leaves.

Cut the heavy rib from the
leaves, leaving enough to keep the
leaves intact.

Stuff the leaves with the meat
mixture, folding the sides over,
tucking up the ends, and place
seam-side duwn in a large, shallow
roasting pan.

Cover with any of the following
sauces:

* 1 tin (28 02.) tomatocs, chopped
up, including juice, plus one tin
undiluted onion soup

*2 tins onion soup diluted with
one tin water

* 3 cups tomato juice mixed with
one package dry onion soup mix,
well mixed.

Bake in a slow oven, 300°F,
about an hour, or until the cab-
bage is tender and the sauce is
slightly thickened.

For an exotic touch, remove the
rolls to a platter and keep hot. Stir
Yi cup sour cream into the sauce,
heating gently but don't boil.
Dribble the sauce over the rolls
and cover with a thick coating of
chopped parsley .
