With the end of daylight saving time, most North Americans lose an hour of daylight. And as the days get shorter and the driving gets tougher, experts think there has never been a better time for Canadians to consider the merits of daytime driving lights. Studies conducted in Canada, United States and Europe con- sistently show that the use of daytime driving lights reduces multiple vehicle crashes. Transport Canada has stated that for Cana- dians, daytime driving light use would save 120 lives, prevent 38,000 accidents, eliminate 11,000 * Flywheels ¢ Ring & Valve Jobs injuries, and save $200 million in related medical costs.
