2 ~ Friday, April 4, 1986 - North Shore News AN 80-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver woman suffered a broken arm in a purse snatching incident recently in the 100 block of West Fourth Street. The woman, who was walking with the assistance of a cane, was returning home at about 3:30 p.m., from ‘shopping and banking in the Lonsdale area. The woman’s purse, which was taken by the attacker, contained $100 in cash, her identification papers and a three-day Expo pass, which she had recently purchased. The woman, who was pushed to the ground from behind, was not able to see the attacker, believed to be a man. A passerby stopped and drove the woman to Lions Gate Hospital, where she was treated and released. North Vancouver RCMP Teported a group of people, wishing to remain anoilymous, learned of the incident and replac- ed the woman’s Expo pass. RCMP Cst.
