He says his relatively quiet neighborhood has managed to peacetully co-exi

As part of'a joint arrangement with Scott Gordon Architect, Inglewood Care

Centre i is pursuing the purchase and rezoning, of several adjacent single: -family
properties located on Burley Drive. ;

As noted in a-recent council report, the plan is to rezone the properties -and
build either a two-storey or three-storey “supportive housing” faciliry that:
would work in. conjunction with the Inglewood centre. The uee-storey
options inchides proposal for subsidized units for seniors. :

Early numbers put the facility ar anywhere between 55,900 sq. ft. 6, 193 sq.
m) and 98,000 sq. ft. (9,104 sq. m) with approximately 65 1095 seniars” hous-
ing apartment units.

And while the project is sill very much in its infancy, Rutter has seen enough.

“This is not a low-rent development,” he says. “This is a conmmercial enter-
prise (and) Pdon't think ir is particularly to look after seniors in need.”
