THE parents of four-year-old
Sarah Enystrand filed a $1.2
million lawsuit in New York
City iast month against the
girs grandparents because
the elder couple's Akita dog,
Becky Bear, bit and deeply
scarred Sarah's nose and
cheek during the girl's birth-
day parry in 1994, The grand-
parents are heartsick at being
sued by their own son, who
nat surprisingly is a hiwyer, as
is his wife.

Physicians writing in the
February 1996 issue of the
journal Genitourinary
Medicine reported having to
prescribe surgery for a man
with genital pain.

The = man _— reluctantly
admitted that about 12 years
before, during sea play, his
wife had inserted a mascara
brush into his urethral open-
ing and that the tip of the
brush broke off. Doctors
found that fibrous tissue had
covered the brush picce, trap-
ping it.

Several news services have
recently reported on the
growing number of “tcle-
phone clubs” in Tokyo in
which men (mostly rniddle-
aged and older) talk sex with
junior-high and high school
girls, who use mobile phones
for privacy from parents and
teachers.

According to The Wall
Street Journal, perhaps eight
percent of schcolgirls partici-
pate at least occasionally.
Many of the calls lead to dates
and actual sex because of the

make to feed: their habits of

and accessories.

The age of consent in the
