cating with community groups and

The district, which has been
dogged with controversy over
administrative spending habits, has
been approached by = PIS
Communications Lid. ‘The compa-
ny outlined a proposal to improve
the schol district's Overall objec-
tives.

The firm is offering its services
to the school board i two start-up
phases which would cost about
$9,500 if approved and $125 an
hour as needed,

Jncluded in the PJS program
would be communications and
strategic planning, a media han-
dling workshop with video-taped
role playing, instruction on how to
write effective releases to the local
press and how to develop good
relations with key media.

The matter has been referred to
the board's communications com-
mittee for further sudy,
