Among the highlights are cuts in income tax for most Canadians by 1988, plans for sweeping new national sales taxation, tough new rules on tax evasion, a tax reforms needed? temporary higher sales tax on items such as toys and sports and handicraft equipment and new taxes for banks and insurance firms. This week, the Inquiring Reporter wants to know if area residents feel the tax reform package, called ‘give-a-little-take-a-little’, was needed. There will be a $3.50 drop-in fee or participants can purchase a three-month fitness disc for $46 that can be used at any North Vancouver Recreation Commission location.
