The women imper- sonators, playing at the In- ternational Plaza until August 4, put on a cabaret show of singing, dancing, acting and comedy, with a risque wit that might take an unsuspecting audience by surprise. While Rusty Ryan, the Imposter’s creator, plays a ‘Big Mama’ master of cere- monies, keeping the au- dience amused, and shocked, BUT make it fun! By BARRETT FISHER with his forward humor, the other three Imposters dress in clinging gowns, sequins and feathers, long flowing curls and impeccable make- up, to mouth the words to songs by famous women ar- lists. Except that the ‘“‘women’s’’ voices kept up the same intensity with or = SS SRS without the microphones, and the costumes they wore had tell-tale cups built into the tops, the impersonators might have got away with their deception. But of course, the au- dience knew what they had come to see, and the Im- posters certainly weren't try- ing to hide their secret. For example, Danny Love, the clown of the group, bares his chest during a strip act, giv- ing the audience a glimpse of his male body. See page C3
