Cut-a-thon raises funds

THE PAUL Mitchell International
Styling Team wants your hair — or
at least, some of it.

The six-member team will be on
hand at Ambleside Park on August
6 for a cut-a-thon to raise funds
for cancer research.

For a $10 donation a stylist will
clip your curlies and send the pro-
ceeds to the Paul Mitchell Memo-
tial Alternative Cancer Research
Fund.

to research groups that do not per-
form tests on animals. Mitchell
died of cancer one year ago at the -
age of 53.

The cut-a-thon starts at 10 a.m.
in the old pool area and finishes at
4 p.m. CISL and KISS FM will be
out in their Community Cruisers to
watch the festivities from a
nautical perspective.

Co-sponsor A&W will be pro-
viding beverages and the A&W
Reotbear will also be making an
appearance.

Auditorium, UBC, is an exhibition
of weaving, embroidery, tie dye,
applique quilts and blockprints
from Asia. The exhibition is from
Aug. 4-31 with a slide lecture on
