A full plate of local dining news is hereby presented for digestion along with that bottle of Mumm’s. The regular four-course review will appear in the next Table Hopping episode. Brummy’s Fish and Chips, 770- 333 Brooksbank Ave., North Vancouver, 980-2216. From the fish-fry folks who brought you the King’s Fare Fish and Chip salon in West Vancouver comes Brummy’s at the Park and Tilford Shopping Centre. King’s Fare, which produced excellent fish and chips during its two and a half year run on Bellevue Avenue in West Vancouver, bailed out of that location late last year to make way for the upscale Granite Cafe. And while the Granite, as of this writing, has yet to open, Brummy’s owner Martin Fieldhouse opened his new fish and chippery earlier this month. In addition to the restaurant's selection of fish and chip dishes ($8 to $12 for basic cod and chips through halibut, scallops, prawns and oysters with chips), brummy’s offers appetizers ($3 to $8 for such items as kalamari, clam strips and chicken fingers and Caesar salad with plum sauce), meat pies ($6.95) and special children’s and seniors’ menus ($5 to $6.75). Brummy’s is licensed to sell beer and wine and is a non- smoking restaurant. It is open every day for lunch and dinner. Hilda’s Galley, Village Square, 1425 Marine Dr., West Vancouver, 926-8664.
