could continue in another form, such as the “Citizen of the Year” award. We are certainly

The District of North Vancouver's Centennial Distinguished Citizen Awards were initiated
during our community's Centennial year te pay special tribute to North Vancouver
residents who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields of endeavour over
the past 100 years.

An independent Panel of Judges was formed from representatives of the North Shore
service organizations, business community and Recreation Commission. To those
people, a hearty thanks, for a painstaking task.

We recognize that there may be prominent individuals and many “unsung” heroes in
our community who are not in this Centennial List. We wish we had received
Nominations to recognize everyone, However, if you did not make a nomination, and
