A North Vancouver City Fire Department crew responded to the scene at approximately 7:45 p.m. A fire. department spokesman ssid the fire started when oil, leaking from the damaged transformer, dripped dowr on to the garage roof and ignited. - The garage was a total loss. Hydre. wires were down and three transformers had to be replaced. While firefighters tzied to put the blaze out, 2 motorist drove over and damaged the fire crew's four-iach water supply hose. Man jailed for prohibited driving A 19-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was sentenced Wednes- day in North Vancouver provincial court to seven days in jail sfter he pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. Warren Robert LeBlanc was originally charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking in connection with a Sune 20 seizure of the drug. Appearing before Judge R.D. Grandison, LeBlanc pleaded guilty to the lesser included charge of possession of marijuana. In addition to the jail term, LeBlarc was placed on probation for six months and ordered not to be found within one block of the ( Beaux & Belles snooker hall at 137 East 15th St. in North Van- couver during the term of that probation.
