“twists to sustain the film through to its some-
what anticlimactic end. An ending which was re-
shot after test audiences didn’t like it.
Despite this trip-up, A Perfect Murder is
slick, sexy, well-shot and worth seeing.

City Council invites you to volunteer ‘asa candidate for membership ‘on nthe .
City’s proposed “Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Forum.” _

Agenda 21, one of the five significant documents that arose from the 1992 United’ ”
Nations Earth Summit has been called a “blueprint for international and domes-

tie actions in the pursuit of sustainable development.” This document inchides ao
a direct call for local governments to create their own “Local Agenda 21” or
municipal action plan for sustainable development.. Help us, as the City j joins cs
more than 1,800 local governments in 64 countries in establishing a an a LARL a
planning process. ae

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The purpose of this committee is to provide an advocacy role for the develop- eG
ment of a Local Agenda 21 Action Plan for the C City, The: Action: Plan ‘shall: i
include:

* a Vision for North Vancouver as a “Sustainable city”;

® identification of strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities for
achieving that Vision; ; “

© documentation of strategic issues facing the City with Tespect t to. a
balancing environmental, fiscal, and social needs; . ee

* a prioritized set of tactics for protecting the atmosphere, protecting :
land, water, and biological diversity, addressing poverty, health and:
social equity issues, and promoting public awareness and d information. -

© measurement and monitoring systems including appropriate
indicators and to assess progress toward the Vision.

WE ARE SEEKING FOUR VOLUNTEERS.

The LA21 Forum. will comprise seven. community: members, Duet to the”
