TWO WEST Vancouver residents have promised to appear
in court next month after being nabbed for a skate-in
break-in.
: A resident notified police when he neticed two suspicious
people in a Marine Drive business.
Police discovered the door had been kicked in and

arrested a 14-year-old female suspect in the rear lane while -

a male suspect fled on his in-line skates.

Police chased him through John Lawson Park, along
Argyle Avenue and the scenic seawall, with an officer in foot
pursuit. The 21-year-old suspect was arrested at his

Dundarave home. Charges of break and enter and theft _

under $5,000 have been recommended against both suspects.

Vancouver Regional District are co-sponsoring B.C. Rivers
Day celebrations at the Seymour Demonstration Forest
Sunday, Sept. 24,

To recognize the immense contributiens rivers make to
B.C., the demonstration forest will be offering fre: tours,
displays, children’s’ activities, forest walks along the
Seymour River, and tours of the Seymour Fish Hafchery.

Shuttle buses will take people to the hatchery from the
parking lot. A salmon barbecue will be held during the 10
‘a.m. to Ap. m, event.
