2 — Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1992 - North Shore News Drowning inquiry to test scuba equipment TESTS ARE being con- ducted on the scuba equip- ment used by a Coquitlam woman who drowned in a diving accident just north cf Deep Cove on Saturday morning. North Vancouver RCMP Staff Sgt. Peter Eakins said three divers were being given diving lessons in the Woodlands area of Indian Arm at about 11 a.m. One of the divers, 21-year-old Cheryl Lee Buffett, became separated from the group. “The rest of the divers fost vi- sual contact with her and she never surfaced,"’ said Eakins. An RCMP dive team was called to the area and found the victim {| after about an hour in 95 feet of | water. !
