AS THE fina! day of summer — well, August anyway
— becomes just a matter of one sweep of the clock
hands away, a chiid’s fancy turns to school and the
many wonders that lie ahead in the upcoming year: new
friends, new teachers, and new challenges. Having spent
the last two months forced to run barefoot in parks, go

on family vacations, and, flet’s face it, laze about in the
