Bibbers is on the second
floor of the building that
houses the Sands Hotel.

The main dining area is
wide open. The use of mir-
rors in selected spots adds to
the feeling of openness.
There are many sliding glass
doors that open onto a small
balcony that provides limited
outside dining.

The tables inside tend to be
rather close together but this
seems to be a trait of bistro
style restaurants. Most of the
seats do, however, provide a
fantastic view of English
Bay.

On the specific night I went
to Bibbers the place was buz-
zing. People of all ages, deck-
ed out in summer attire, were
smiling, eating and drinking.
For whatever reason, I felt
like 1 was in the busy West
End where it all happens.

I ordered a lite beer which
it turns out is not kept in
stock so my alternate choice
was a Dos Equis from Mex-
ico. There is a fine selection
