SET TO SAIL

Sailers parade in W. Van regatta

SAILORS are cordially in-
vited to participate in the se-
cond annual West Vancouver
Canada Day Regatta, hosted
by the Hollyburn Sailing
Club, 1326 Argyle St.,
Ambleside, West Vancouver.

The Regatta will consist of
a trophy race for sailing
dinghies and sailboards,
from John Lawson Park to
Dundarave Pier and back, a

birthday party at Hollyburn
Sailing Club following the
trophy race, and run races in
front of the clubhouse after
the party. Participants in the
sailboat racing will be given a
Canadian flag to fly during
the day, and all entries are
free.

the officer of the day will
conduct the opening
ceremony and start the
trophy race at 12 noon.

The trophy race will follow
a slaiom course close in to the
shoreline between John
Lawson Park and Dundarave

Following the trophy race,
all participants and guests are
invited to return to. the
Hollyburn Sailing Club
clubhouse for presentation of
awards and the Canada Day
birthday party. Refeshments
and a special birthday cake
will be served.
