Taking stock of the direction of sports: p.B3 WY Rockets NS feams West Van's Nor- thridge Rockets made a clean sweep of weekend games with the other three North Shore teams registering wins 13, 14 and 15 to remain undefeated in Metro League _§stan- dings and keep coaches Tom Pike and Bill Crane smiling heading into the second half of the schedule. And they did it in con- vincing fashion by = out- scoring their opponents 30- 12 over the three games. The North Shore Winter Club was the first to be burned by the Rockets red glare suffering a 12-6 home ice defeat Fnday night. Hat tricks by Craig Harman and Jim Buhr paced the Rocket attack as the Northridge team built up a 5- 1 first period lead, made it 7- 4 after two, and then out- scored NSWC five goals to two for the 12-6 final. Other Rocket goal scorers were Danny Corrngan with two while Mark Ingram, Rex Biedler, Norm Sawers and Brian Chatfield contributed singles and Steve Stuart led the way in the playmaking department with four assists. Countering for the NSWC were Dave Holowaty, Greg and Mark James, Bran Calder, Mitch Butler and Bnan Gould.
