+ L co A complete unified service to provide tran- sporation ,for the han- dicapped is needed on the North Shore, according to a committee consisting of members of the United Way and the North Shore Association for the Physically Handicapped. And while both North Vancouver City and District council’s discussed the matter at their Monday meetings and agreed with the concept, they felt the matter was out of their hands. Customized transportation for the handicapped will be one of the areas which the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) will be taking over on April 1. Through the GVRD, municipalities will be able to apply to the Urban Transit Authority (UTA) for an agreement whereby only 10 per cent of transporation costs will be paid by the customer. Because of this system District council said they, as a body, were powerless to directly assist, in providing transportation for the handicapped. “Its You" Woodwards Spring Fashion Book Page 3 Hand- bags should nave read Robert Lefort $32 to $38 not Norman. die Handbags $22 $32 Page 5 Robert Le Fort Handbag $32 should read Normandie Hand- bag $28 Page 5 V-neck car.
