Dean Kuntz met Penick last
November whilst on a Golfsmith
workshop in Austin.

He recalls being very nervous and
refers to Penick’s outlook as the zen
of golf.

“It (the book) teaches you not
only about golf but about fife.” said
Kuntz. “The thing about his teaching
is that it is so simple it works.”

His lasting impression of the men-
tor of golfing greats such as Cren-
shaw and Tom Kite is the wheelchair-
bound Penick making his entrance.

“When he came into the room,
everyone stood up and started clap-

_ ping,” reminisced Kuntz. True recog-
