_ Teens crash

A 14-YEAR-OLD Lions Bay youth escaped serious injury
on Dec. 16 when he was thrown from a truck which col-
lided with the Capilano River Bridge guard railing on the
‘Trans-Canada Highway.

The vehicle, 2 1976 Chevrolet Suburban, was driven by
a 16-year-old youth from Lions Bay who also was not seri-
ously injured, according to a West Vancouver Police
spokesman. Both teens were taken to Lions Gate Hospital.

The driver was charged with speeding. He also
received 2 24-hour roadside suspension.

A 20-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was fined $1,000
and received 12 months’ probation in connection with a
charge of assaulting a male.

stemming from a Feb. 11 incident in North Vancouver
