Hydro substation lost three circuits, B.C. Hydro corporate communications officer Verne Prior said between 6,000 and 8,000 Hydro customers were without power shortly after midnight on Saturday morning when three circuits were lost from the North Vancouver Hydro substation at Third Strect and St. David’s Avenue. Prior said that high winds are suspected as the cause of the outage. “Service was progressively restored throughout the morning and the early afternoon with the final hook-up being at about 3 p.m.,”’ said Prior. He added that the power outages were bounded by St. Georges Avenue to the west, Rufus Drive to the east, Se- cond Street to the south and 18th Street to the north.
