The Jews are dangerous, say

allowed to voice their opinions in
public. Bomb threats are made.
The meeting is cancelled.

The harassed Jews find another
venue. A rabble gathers. People
are prevented from entering the
hall. The police do not interfere.

Am I reporting on events in
Nazi Germany? No. This happens
in Canada except that the roles
are reversed and it is the self-
appointed Thought Police who
wreck the proceedings.

A local example occurred
recenily in Vernon. Mrs..Eileen
Presstler of the politically-incorrect
Council of Public Affairs had
called a meeting there.

The ritual imprecations were
pronounced — ‘‘anti-Semitic and
white supremacist’? — meaning
the Council opposes the Third
World immigration now engulfing
Canada and is critical of the
policies of Zion.

Even worse, its members don’t
believe the Holocaust story in its
six million form, and they invite
people like Jim Keegstra and Jud
(‘Stop Apologizing’*) Cyliorn to
speak to them.

The joke is that Mr. Saunders

I have been waiting for our
righteous commentators to view
all this with alarm. Nothing.
When the devil-words ‘“‘anti-
Semitic’’ or ‘‘racist” are uttered
they concentrate on their knitting

Such events are now a feature
of the Canadian landscape.

Last year in Toronto, Jewish
pressure caused cancellation of a
meeting at whicl: the controversial
British historian David Irving was
to speak.

A second hali was found. It too
had to be given up when a

tawa, unorthoclox speakers have
been denied the use of the public

Can you imagine the howls that
would go up if anyone forced
cancellation of a Jewish meeting?
