The following are just some of the events from the organization’s- seniors’ suminer program listing. Summer picnics are taking piace at Harrison on Friday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($10) and at Buntzen Lake on Friday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (S10). croquet, frisbee and walking for those who wish it. The Hot Lunch Cafe, which costs $3 for members and $3.50 for non-members, continues through July at noon on Mon- days, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays, but will be closed in August. The North Shore Keep Well program will end for the summer on July 22, and resume again on Sept. 9. A season finale picnic is being held on Tuesday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Water- front Park. Preregistration is re- quired. Walking trips in North Van- couver’s parks and trails will be held on July 11, 25, Aug. 13 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants are asked tc preregister with Lisa, and there is a $2 fee. Day-long trips to Mount Baker, Manning Park and Northwest Sumas, Washington, to see its fossils, are planned; as is a train trip to Squamish on the Royal Hudson. Minitrips to Vandusen Gardens, New Westminster Quay and Bellis Fair in Bellingham are also on the agenda.
