ly recipe is supplied by a ran-
domly-selected hotel chef to all
other participating Blue Plate
Hotels. The recipe is then the
featured Tuesday Blue Plate Lun-
cheon special.

The meal sells for $8.75, and $3
from each Blue Plate sold goes to
the Children’s Hospital.

fibreglass birds in early February to

The $1,500 bird eventually
turned up on the chair of UBC's
head of psychology.

Following that collegiate fest, an
attempt was made to steal one of
the two remaining nine-foot high
birds.

But, the would-be bird-napper
was spotted by an alert janitor and
the police were called.

Charges are pending.

In the meantime, Earl’s repre-
sentative Kevin Smith says the res-
taurant plans to weld the wayward
birds to their perches.

with industry on 10 day work practicums.
