Troubled teens are provided with a peer group based on acceptance and mutual accountability. Parents are offered group discussions and group counselling. Fully one half of the young people currently participating in the program come from the North Shore. ‘‘We started with five and now we have consistently 15 kids three to nine months sober,”’ said Birnbaum.
