Colts go for
three in row

NORTH SHORE COLTS
will be looking for their third
consecutive win as they face
the Victoria Shooters tonight
at 6 p.m. in Kinsmen
Stadium.

The -Colts made a strong
recovery from last week’s 6-1
lambasting at the hands of
New |. Westminster Queen’ 's
Park: ‘Rangers with a pair of
victories last weekend.

Saturday night the Colts
exploded for four
unanswered goals in the se-
cond half to. whip Nanaimo
Dynamos ‘5-0 in Nanaimo’s
home Caledonia Park before

Striker Ralph Mazzucco
led the way for the Colts with
two second half goals.
Singles went to midfielder
Ted Hamilton, forward Chris
Chevden, and striker Frank
Fiddler, who opened scoring
in the first half.

Colts reaped their revenge
on Queen’s Park Rangers
Sunday night posting a 1-0
win over one of the best sides
in the PRSL. New Colt ac-
quisition, Kevin Mabbutt,
converted a penalty shot 20
minutes into the game that

proved to be the winner.

Frank Pike, Colts’ coach,
said the’ back-to-back vic-
tories were a great boost to
the club: ‘The difference this
weekend is that it’s the se-
cond time in a row that the
same players have been play-
ing together, and, in the first
game, Nanaimo allowed us to
play.”

Pike also points to the ad-
dition of Mabbutt, mid-
fielder David Rosenlund, and
keeper Jeff Slake as major
contributing factors to the
club’s improved showing.
