Held each year in cities across Canada, the I1ith an- nual conference will be at the International Plaza Hotel. The main speakers this year include: Helen Bonny, director of the Institute for Consciousness and Music, who is a pioneer in this field and has worked and written about using music and relax ation for therapeutic change, Carol Merle Fishmann, presi- dent of the American Association for Music Therapy and works at New York University; and Ted Tims, past president of the National Association § for Music Therapy and director of the Colorado State Music Therapy Program in Denver. The conference reflects the medium used by music therapists, so along with papers and = presentations there will be music and workshops.
