June uses an ancient technique, originating in China, which was used for making images of Buddha. She carves her own cedar, pine and birch wood blocks SEE 38 ee ee ee ee ® e New look in woodcuts and uses a roller or ‘‘brayer’’ to put ink on the blocks. She does all her own printing in limited editions of about 35 prints from each block. Her prints are in both black and white and in color and the subject matter ranges from Hong Kong Street scenes, vegetables and birds to portraits.
