13 - Sunday, January 12, 1986 - North Shore News Centre offers chance to meet friends A VARIETY of creative and active programs with the mature adult in mind is being offered by the Delbrook Community Centre. “The spectrum of pro- grams range from social afternoons to fitness classes, arts and crafts to drama groups,’’ said Joyce Parkin-Burk, recreation programmer at Delbrook. “Both daytime and even- ing programs offer a great chance for sharing, making new friends or learning new skills.’’ The After One Club will be meeting on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will offer a wide range of activities and guest speakers. The Lynn Valley Ecology Centre’s Kevin Bell, will be a guest speaker on Jan. 12, presenting a slide show en- titled Birds of the North Shore. On Jan. 29, Art Rempel of the North Vancouver Safety Council will be pres- enting the club with a lecture on the Pedestian Program.
