IT was an all-North Shore s

hoawdewn in the

B.C. double-A football chanipioaship final.

It was also one of the most exciting football games of
the high school season.

On Nov. 29 at BC Place, the Windsor Dukes pulled
off a comeback for the ages as the North Vancouver
school edged West Van's Sentinel Spartans 27-26.

It was the second provincial double-A title for the
Dukes in three years.

In double-A regular season action, the Handsworth
Royals boasted the best record of the five North Shore

senior squads, going 5-0 in North Section play. Windsor
followed with a 4-1 mark, while Sentinel was third at 3-
In triple-A regular season play, the Carson Graham
Zagles finished second overall to Notre Dame in the West
Section standings with a 5-1 record.
West Vancouver went 0-7 in triple-A East Section.
In the junior ranks, the Handsworth Royals finished
first, followed by the Windsor Dukes.
