Solo sensation

NORTH VANCOUVER resident Brianna Giles enters Grade 8
at Argyle secondary school this fall with something to cele-
brate. The 13-year-old member of the Royal City Youth Ballet
competed at the USA Dance Classic’ held in Vancouver in

-March and qualified for the national charnpionships, held in

Seaside, Oregon on July 22. There she placed first in her age

category for ballet solo en pointe.
