VOLUNTEER INCOME tax
preparers are needed for the tas
season just ahead.

A special training seminar will
be held on Thursday, Feb. 1 at
North Shore Neighbourhood
House, 222 E. 2nd St. North
Vancouver, from 9:30 a.m, to 3:30
p.m. Volunteers are asked to bring,
a bag lunch, but tea and coffee will
be provided.

Revenue Canada staff will pro-
vide instruction. The training will
help volunteers prepare simple tax
returns for seniors and others on
limited income.

A volunteer tax preparer can
expect to put in a morning or
afternoon per week during March
and April either helping to prepare
the return or checking over com-
pleted forms.

North Shore {nformation and
Volunteer Centre, the North Shore
Neighbourhood House or Silver
Harbour Centre, or perhaps will
visit individual aomes of shut-ins if
necessary.
