Oct. 16:

Shawn Albert Schmidt was
sentenced to seven days in jail and
fined $300 after the 18-year-old
Burnaby man pleaded guilty to a
charge of driving while prohibited.

Kevin William Smith was fined
$100 after the 45-year-old North

Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
failing to appear for a scheduled
court date.

Marcel Jakubec was placed on
probation for one year after the
37-year-old man of no fixed ad-
dress failed to comply with an
order of his probation after he
refused to take a prescription to
control his manic depression.
