Everest batted first and amassed 167 for 7 declared. R. Dadialia battled well for 73 runs and was ably supported by V. Madan with 25. Main bowler for N.S.C.C. was skipper H. Griffiths who took 5 for 48. N.S.C.C.’s fhelding was quite good with J. Jadhau taking two brilliant catches. N.S.C.C. batted ag- gressively in reply, but slumped to 85 for 6 with 18 overs left. However, a splen- did partnership between H. Sidhu (64 not out) and J. Jadhau (40 not out) saw them home with 5 overs to spare. N.S.C.C. therefore kept their unbeaten streak alive. On Sunday the N.S.C.C. second team completed the double-win for their club when they defeated Rich- mond II} quite handsomely at Minoru Park in Richmond. Richmond batted first and were dismissed for 40 runs, as a result of sustained smart fielding and steady bowling. K. Hira took 3 for 6, S. Kaul 2 for 3, J. Ede and H. Sidhu each took | for 7, and C. Tottle took 2 for 14. D. Cooke fielded brilliantly to run out K. Vint. When North Shore batted they experienced no difficulty in scoring the 41 runs re- quired to win the game. In the process they lost one wicket, and S. Kaul (19) and D. Cooke (14) were unbeaten as N.S.C.C. romped home to victory. Qn Monday — Canada Day — N.S.C.C._ players Skipper J. Mitchell, H. Grif- fiths, R. Herbert, B. Adie, K. Bradshaw, H. Sidhu and P. Cantelo brought glory to their club when they wort the B.C.L.M.C.L. ‘‘Six-a-Side’’ trophy at Brockton Point in glorious weather.
