monton April 6-8. knocking
off the Maple Leat Athletic
Club of Edmonton in three
Straight games.

The first game of the series
was a penalty-filled affair,
with each team attempting to
intimidate the other wth
crunching body checks and a
lot of stick-work along the
boards

The second game played
the next afternoon was ap-
proached by each team in a
different manner as both set-
tled down and_= provided
entertaining hockey for the
fans in the packed arena.

In the first period u looked
as tf North Vancouver was
going to rout the Albertans
when they scored four suc-
cessive goals within two
minutes and fifty seconds tn
the middle of the period. The
opposition replied with a goal
late in the first to leave the ice
down 4-1

Edmonton scored three
unanswered goals to tie the
game in the second period

Edmonton came out press-
ing in the third penod and
within three minutes they had
the go-ahead goal. North
Vancouver now found
themselves in a very familiar
