A MODEST North Vancouver man took on a
pair of crooks as he almost single-handedly
brought an end to an armed robbery four days

before Christmas.

The man, who police say
ts adamant that he not be
identified, tackled one of
two men ftleemng the Bank of
Commerce at 92 1 onsdale
Avenue and, aided by two
other residents and police,
helped subdue the second
man involved in the hold up

The two men had entered
the bank just before noon on
December 21. brandishing a
handgun and demanding
cash
