At about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Mrs. Paul Roth
aweke and rose from her bed. As she was about to
open her bedroom door, she noticed that it felt hot.

At the same » time, she smelled smoke.

She wakened her husband, and they found their ©
house ablaze. The only avenue of escape was the
bedroom window, and Roth, who is in his sixties,
