& — Wednesday, April 14, 1999 — North Shore News THE following people have appeared in North Vancouver provincial court to face various charges: Before Judge Jerome Paradis on Feb. 3: Kevin James Prentice, 18, of North Vancouver, was jailed four months and received 12 months’ proba- tion after he pleaded guilty to the break, enter and theft of a ‘house in the 800-block of Orwell Street in North Vancouver District on Jan. 28. eee Kevin Russell Staniforth, 38, of no fixed address, was jailed seven days after he pleaded guilty to stealing merchandise belonging to Overwaitea Foods on Feb. 2 in North Vancouver City. Before Judge Bill ‘Rodgers on Feb.3: James Martin Nulty, 27, of North Vancouver, reccived ‘12 months’ probation after he pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man, but instead pleaded guilty to the lesser or included offence of causing a ‘disturbance. The original charge stemmed from a Sept. 19, 1998 ‘incident in North Vancouver District. Nulty was required to per- form 25 hours of community work. Vehicle secovered in Squamish. March 15 4, 200-bik. Lawa Break and enter. Entry gained through lower bedroom window. No damage. Stolen: unknown. 5. 1300-blk. Avenue Break and enter. Door lock broken. Residence rummaged through. Complainant was Duchess out of town. — Stolen: unknown. 6. 1300-blk. Clyde Avenue Break and enter. Entry gained through unsecured window. Stolen: unknown, March 16 7. 500-bik. Clyde Avenue, Park Royal Hotel Robbery. Complainants returned to car from Park Roval Hotel. Unknown suspect opened passenger door and pushed gun into complainant's neck and demanded purse and wal- let. Suspect fled in vehicle. 8. Morton was required to perform 75 hours of com- munity work. eee Linda Ann MecGourlick, 53, of North Vancouver, was fined $500 and had her dri- ver's licence suspended for six months atter she pleaded guilty to impaired driving. eee David Franske, 26, of North Vancouver, was fined $500 and had his driver’s licence suspended for 12 months alter he was found -guilty of impaired driving. eee Morgan Glyn Thomas, of West Vancouver, was jailed 45 days and was given a 12 month driving licence sus- pension after pleading guilty to having a blood aicohol level greater than .08.
