“The easing of vacancy
rates is due.in part to fewer
people moving to Vancouver

CMHC market. analyst Ray
Toscani. “As well, the build-
up of unsold apartment con-
dominiums has resulted in
some of these -units being
converted to rental, thereby
adding to the rental stock."

Vancouver's West-end is
the most sought after area in
Metro Vancouver, with an
extremely low vacancy rate
of less than a half percent.
The most expensive area
continues to be West
Vancouver where the aver-
age one-bedroom unit rents
