newly formed Whistler Institute
for Advanced Learning.

school, with offices in Vancouver
and Whistler, is scheduled to start
offering courses by next spring, if
not sooner

Psychologist Wayne Peterson,
an educator and management con-
sultant, has relocated to Van-
couver from Victoria to become
the institute's president.

Former governor general and
Manitoba premier Edward
Schreyer will be the institute's ad-
visory council chairman.

Fuller, formerly corporate af-
fairs vice president with The Sim
Pattison Group, is now a_ cor-
porate and public affairs strategist.

He said Whistler was chosen as
the location of the institute
because it was a destination resort
that can provide the serenity nec-
essary for study.

It also, he said, was close (o a
multitude of recreational activities
and such arnenities, including
lodging and restaurants.

“Where else but in Whistler
could an executive Ue together a
serious business course agenda
with an afternoon of skiing in
mid-July, then perhaps take in a
little salmon trolling at Horseshoe
Bay on the way back to the air-
port?”’ Fuller said.

According to Peterson, the
Whistler Institute would be in-
dependent, but might produce and
offer jointly sponsored programs
with universities and colleges
throughout the world.
