GSL CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED AT EMPIRE

It was a long lime coming,
but the Lynn Valley Bantam
Colts were able to revenge
therr 1979 championship
defeat at the hands of the
Squamish Titans last Sun-
day

The Colts downed the
Titans 14-8 in a rematch of
last years Gordon Sturtridge
final which saw the Titans
win in overtime

Victory did not come easy
for the Colts as mW took a
fumble recovery in the last
three minutes of the game to
assure them of a win.

With less than three
minutes remaining on the
Empire Stadium clock, and
Titans threatening the five

vard line the Colts
recovered 4 tumble and
mandped to hold on for a
